Floor of mosaic tile and marble
Edgar Miller
c. 1928
Aside from the art glass windows high above the bathtub on the bathroom's western wall, the only other prominent artistic features are seen by looking down at the floor, where Miller has embedded an array of abstract and geometric forms made of mosaic tile, ordinary tile, and reclaimed marble. Much more restrained than the mosaic and stone work in the bathroom for the floor below, Miller still allows for one foray into the craftwork style with a mosaic of, appropriately enough, a black swan.
