Map of Edgar Miller
It may be bold to state that Edgar Miller was one of the most prolific artists of the United States in the 20th century, but it’s true. Because Miller’s work expanded into all forms of art mediums and due to the relationships he developed in Chicago, Miller was commissioned to do hundreds of large-scale installation projects throughout his life— murals, sculptures, stained glass, woodwork, and other interior renovations. And this was on top of the thousands of pieces of commercial and private work he produced almost daily, including paintings, illustration, graphic design, furniture, plates, and artistic gifts.
This comprehensive Map of Edgar Miller offers anyone interested in Miller’s work and story an overview of his many art projects from a global view. In many case, Miller’s work still exists, so this map will help you spot some of it from the street. In other cases, Miller’s work has sadly been destroyed, or gone missing. In other parts of the map you’ll see where major moments in Miller’s life occurred, and helps us to better understand his unusually worldly views for his time. Enjoy your time exploring the Map of Edgar Miller!
